Arrived in Florence, after 10 hour flight from SF and transfer in Zurich. Met tour guide Linda, who took us to our hotel, Hotel Meridiana on Viale Don Minzoni. The hotel was located for convenient access to ATM’s, a post office, a super market and a self service laundry.
After check in, dinner was served at restaurant Palazzi Borghesi, which was opened exclusively for the SSU tour group. The dinner had 3 courses: a spinach / feta lasagna; beef stew with vegetables; and a tiramisu dessert. Wine served was a VDT by Conti Ripalta, Vino Rosso. The dinner gave everyone a change to get acquainted with those at their table.
